Chelus, Herdzik, Speyer & Monte, P.C. Welcomes New Associates

Sarah N. Rodman, Esq. and Jonathan A. Emdin, Esq.

Buffalo, NY — June 2018 — Chelus, Herdzik, Speyer & Monte, P.C., today announces that Sarah N. Rodman and Jonathan Emdin have joined the firm as associate attorneys.  They will be working with the other members of the firm in handling the firm's litigation files as well as other general practice matters. 

Ms. Rodman earned her juris doctor in intellectual property and technology law from SUNY at Buffalo Law School in 2016.  Sarah Rodman completed her undergraduate studies at Daemen College earning a B.A. in political science in 2013 with studies in Spanish and pre-law. 

Sarah has intensive and expansive foreign language experiences, which she continues to study and practice.  Her language skill set includes Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese.

Mr. Emdin earned his juris doctor from Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015.  While there, he was awarded the Robert F. Wagner Trial Advocacy-Diversity Scholarship, the David D. Banta Scholarship and the Robert H. McKinney Scholarship.  Jonathan is very proud of his work as chairman of the Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic’s Legal Section where he helped provide legal aid to the underserved communities of Indianapolis, as well as helping commission programs to educate the public on various issues, including the Affordable Care Act and understanding one’s rights when interacting with law enforcement.

Jonathan Emdin completed his undergraduate studies at John Jay College in 2010 with a B.A. in political science and minor in philosophy.  As a student at John Jay College, Jonathan established a club on juvenile justice initiatives in an effort to raise public awareness of the prevalent difficulties within the New York State Juvenile Justice System.  He also was a member of the men’s tennis team and earned Dean’s List in the fall of 2009 and spring of 2010.

In addition to Mr. Emdin’s education at John Jay College and Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Mr. Emdin participated in a student exchange program at the Renmin University of China, School of Law & Business in Beijing, China.

Ms. Rodman and Mr. Emdin now join with the other associates of Chelus, Herdzik, Speyer & Monte, P.C. in serving the legal needs of the Western New York community.  Jonathan will work with the firm at its downtown office at the Main Court Building, 438 Main Street, Tenth Floor, at Lafayette Square, as well as practicing at the firm's branch office at 2448 Union Road in Cheektowaga.
